Women's 2s vs Burton 2

W2 8-0 Vs Burton 2s

A motivated Telford pepped up by the team talk of the season were well prepared for their match against Burton 2s. 

After a comical start to the game with a wayward pass Telford put their heads down to work and began to put Burton under pressure. Burton responded with strong attacking play until the game was paused due to a severe hail storm impeding the game. 

Following this Telford started connecting passes and the first goal game from Bella Hart from a long ball through midfield from Sue Hughes. Bella also scored the second with an assist from Beth Lane. 

Going into half time 2-0 up Telford knew that they had more to give. A short corner strike from Sue Hughes was stopped on the line by an opposition foot (and legs) which gave Logan McKinnon the chance to make it 3-0 with a penalty stroke and she did so with confidence. 

This opened the floodgates with the Telford defensive unit transferring ball patiently to create opportunities to link the midfield and outlet to the forwards. 

 Bella Hart bagged another 3 goals through assists from Molly McKaig, Sue Hughes and Eliza Brannen.

Logan McKinnon then claimed her second through a short corner routine assisted again by Sue Hughes.

They final goal came from Eliza Brannen (assist Kate Le Cocq) who scored from an impossible angle, squeezing the ball off the post and the keeper. 

A good game from the whole team who will play Wolves and Tett 1 next week.
