"Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game" - Michael Jordan

Hello and welcome to Telford & Wrekin Hockey Club's vibrant youth section.

We are a family friendly, community club that prides itself on being inclusive and providing opportunities for players of all abilities to reach their potential. We are keen to inspire a love of hockey amongst boys and girls of all ages.

The focus is on encouraging participation whilst developing skills, making new friends and most importantly, having FUN : )

With coaching available for ages 5 to 18, we offer age group specific training to u8s, u10s, u12s, u14s, u16s, and u18s for both boys and girls.

Training takes place on our own synthetic turf pitch in St George's, with home fixtures split between St George's and Wrekin College.

For those new to the sport, we have sticks available to borrow each week so there's no need to buy before you've tried. We understand children like to dip their toes into various sports and activities to see what is right for them before committing. Because of this, we offer 4x weeks FREE to new members to give hockey a go. We can provide match day shirts when your child is ready to play fixtures so again, no requirement to buy lots of kit upfront.

Our junior teams participate in various leagues and competitions in Shropshire and beyond including the Midlands Hockey League and England Hockey Cup, providing a platform for our players to showcase their skills and abilities against their peers. We closely monitor each individual's development to ensure they have the best chance to flourish - see more in the link below.
