Telford & Wrekin Juniors Triumph at Shropshire in2hockey Qualifiers

Telford & Wrekin Hockey Club's junior section enjoyed a successful weekend at the Shropshire in2hockey qualifiers, held at St George's.

The morning saw the U10s tournament take centre stage, with the Telford & Wrekin U10 boys demonstrating their skill and teamwork to emerge as Shropshire champions. The future looks bright for the club, as a very young U10 girls' team also put in a strong performance, finishing in a commendable 3rd place, narrowly missing out on qualification for the Midlands finals.

The afternoon's U12 tournament continued the club's success. The Telford & Wrekin U12 boys replicated the achievement of their younger counterparts, once again being crowned Shropshire champions. The U12 girls also showcased their talent and determination, finishing as worthy runners-up in their age group.

This impressive showing means that three out of the four Telford & Wrekin junior teams – the U10 boys, U12 boys, and U12 girls – will now progress to the Midlands finals, to be held at Nottingham Hockey Centre.

The club extends a big thank you to the dedicated coaches, the volunteer umpire, and the supportive parents who played a crucial role in the teams' success. We wish all three teams the very best of luck as they head to Nottingham to compete in the Midlands finals!
