International Masterclass Ill - David Goodfield

The International Masterclass returns for a third time, and this time we proudly welcome back another home-grown talent: Great Britain & England international, David Goodfield!

David was initially scheduled to join us for our very first International Masterclass in December 2024 but had to undergo last minute back surgery. The procedure was crucial to allow him to be in contention for the Euro Hockey League Finals in Holland, the English Premier League play-off finals, and to represent England in the Euros.

Since his recovery, David has successfully ticked off all those goals. He played in the Euro Hockey League, captained Surbiton HC to their first English Premier League title in four years, and successfully represented England in the Euros.

We are incredibly excited to have David join us for this event. Masterclass III will be held at Telford & Wrekin Hockey Club, offering two-hour blocks tailored to different age groups. This format ensures that each participant receives focused coaching and maximises their learning experience. 

As an attacking midfielder and forward known for his fast hands and flair, the session's focus will be heavily on attacking the final third and sharpening up key offensive skills.

David will plan and deliver with the support of England Hockey Level 2 Coaches.

The event is open to both club members and non-members, extending the opportunity to young hockey players from across the region.

• When: Friday 31st October
• Where: Telford & Wrekin Hockey Club
• Cost: £20 per player per session (Priority early bird booking and £5 discount for T&WHC junior members)
• Time: 3x sessions split on age group. Please get in touch if you have any questions regarding session groupings; we're always happy to discuss them. Please note that depending on demand and group size, we may need to talk to some players about moving to a different session.

Masterclass 1: Under 10s & u12s

• Time: 9.15am - 11.15am
• School Years: 4s, 5s, 6s & 7s

Masterclass 2: Under 14s

• Time: 11.30am - 1.30pm 
• School years: 8s & 9s

Masterclass 3: Under 16s & 18s

• Time: 1.45pm - 3.45pm. 
• School years: 10s, 11s, lower 6th & upper 6th
