On a misty dull morning the women got caught cold with a quick goal from Edgbaston after 2 minutes. A smart pass across the top of the D was spotted by a quick thinking centre forward. It was 25 minutes and two more goals before Telford finally decided to start playing. It took strong tackles and a few strong words from Helen P to give the team the encouragement they needed.
After half time the team emerged with a strong sense of urgency and put in a spirited few minutes which resulted in a strong shot from Helen that was finished off by a quick thinking Kate Le C who celebrated with a roar.
An injury to an opponent which resulted in a long delay changed the game momentum. Telford had a run of short corners but were not able to find the net again. It was a tough reminder of the pace in this new division.
