Men's 3s vs Sutton Coldfield 3

Telford welcomed Sutton Coldfield 3s who got relegated last year. An opposition up for the game just like last weeks Shrewsbury team with strength of mature players and also with some youths to provide the legs.

Telford we fairly unchanged from last week apart from a welcome for Moet and Tommy Lauder got a call up 60 minutes before the game after a late cry off.

Captains talk was to continue with the tempo of last week, get the ball passed early and remember to mark everywhere on the pitch when they are attacking.

Play started well passing around but a quick turnover and Sutton got ahead with a deflect around the keeper and defenders.

Telford soon gained composure and it was AJ that got us going with a short corner. Birthday boy Duff was soon settled with a Short Corner Goal and he went on to score 4 more during the game.

Linking up of play around the strong Sutton team was still to our advantage as we settled to calls around the pitch and small triangles to keep the ball moving.

Another solid game from Juniors of Jack, Kieren and George settling into the higher tempo.

The 'elders' battled well too and our mistakes are getting less and less each week.

MOM was an easy award to 4 goal Birthday boy Duff!
